ACTION HOTELS, an owner, developer and asset manager of branded three and four-star hotels in the Middle East and Australia, has appointed Andrew Lindley as its new finance director.
Lindley joins the company’s senior management team on 1 June 2016, taking over from Katie Shelton, who has been acting as interim CFO.
He is a chartered management accountant and has a more than 20 years of experience in senior finance positions in the UK and the Middle East.
He was previously vice president finance – Africa for Mövenpick Hotels and Resorts, looking after a portfolio of 25 hotels across Africa and cruise operations in Egypt. He began his career in the hospitality industry in the UK with the Forte Group, and subsequently MacDonald Hotels.
Latterly, Lindley worked with 20:20 Mobile Group in senior finance roles in the UK and the UAE. He returned to hotels in 2013 as CFO of Abjar Hotels International, a hospitality company with a portfolio of franchise and managed hotels in Dubai.
