PRODUCT testing company Intertek Group has appointed former Compass Group finance director Andrew Martin as a non-executive director.
Martin joins the FTSE 100 company’s board with effect from 26 May and will become a member of the audit committee and then from 1 March 2017 will chair the audit committee, replacing Mike Wareing.
Martin currently holds a non-executive directorship with easyJet where he is a member of the audit committee and chairs the finance committee. From 2012 to 2015, he was the group chief operating officer for Europe and Japan for Compass Group and prior to that served as their group finance director from 2004 to 2012.
Before he joined Compass Group, he was the group FD at First Choice Holidays. He also previously held senior financial positions with Forte and Granada Group and was a partner at Arthur Andersen.
He is an associate of ICAEW and an associate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation.
