Urban&Civic appoint former KPMG boss as audit chair

Property development and investment company Urban&Civic has appointed KPMG’s former senior partner for London has joined as a non-executive director.

PROPERTY development and investment company Urban&Civic has appointed KPMG’s former senior partner for London has joined as a non-executive director.

Ian Barlow, who was senior partner (London) at KPMG until his retirement in 2008, has been appointed as chairman of the audit committee and will join the board from 1 September 2016.

He is an ICAEW fellow and of the CIoT. He is currently a non-executive director of Smith & Nephew, The Brunner Investment Trust and Foxtons Group and is the lead non-executive director of HM Revenue & Customs

Other previous roles include chairman of WSP Group and Think London, the direct inward investment agency for London and board member and chair of the audit committee of the London Development Agency.
