Flybe announces permanent CFO

Flybe has announced who its new CFO is

Flybe has announced that interim chief financial officer, Ian Milne, will take on the role permanently at the beginning of November.

Milne joined the company in August as interim CFO, after outgoing CFO, Philip de Klerk, announced he would be leaving at the end of September to join performance materials manufacturer Low & Bonar.

Before joining Flybe, Milne had a 20-year career with British Airways, working his way up to serve as group financial controller for BA’s owner, International Airlines Group and as director of integration at BA, before leaving the company in 2016 to set up his own consulting business.

Prior to working in industry, Milne worked for Ernst and Young in the London office.

The struggling Exeter-based airline has been hit by slumping sales, due to weak demand and increased competition.
