CIPFA wins £150k Lambeth training deal

LAMBETH COUNCIL’S STAFF will be trained by CIPFA in a £150,000 deal.

The three-year contract will encompass training for staff across the council, including senior managers and budget holders. The programme will involve training in all aspects of finance, financial management, performance management and governance.

The training will be made available to staff from other local authorities, initially Southwark and Lewisham councils.

Jon Graham, managing director, CIPFA Business, said: “I’m delighted that Lambeth will be making use of CIPFA’s blended learning platform. In this difficult economic climate it is absolutely essential for councils to have properly trained staff In financial management.”
