Astro turf and pool table in new PKF Cooper Parry office

Treehouse with a rope swing among the quirky features in PKF Cooper Parry's new 25,000 sq ft East Midlands office

AN ASTRO-TURFED TV viewing area and pool table are among the unconventional offerings at the new Midlands office of PKF Cooper Parry.

The 25,000 sq ft home has been transformed into what it describes as a “Google-style office space” with “feature rooms” based on different settings, including ‘The Shack’ (pictured), which has a surf club feel. Its new home also has a ‘Treehouse’ with its own rope swing.

The move brings together 210 staff from its previous locations in Nottingham, Derby and Leicester, with the new site close to East Midlands Airport.

Ade Cheatham, chief executive at PKF Cooper Parry, said the move was a culmination of the firm’s attempts to grow in core market areas and increase its international presence.

“We’ve been making huge strides towards becoming number one in each of our core business areas, membership of the global PKFI network has already seen us generate more international business, and bringing us all together under one roof is of huge benefit to our clients and as a business.

“We wanted the new office to be a flexible, modern, quirky and most importantly, shared space, which would make everyone proud to be a part of our business and based on the feedback we’ve had from everyone already, I think we have achieved this.”

PKF Cooper Parry is ranked 42nd in the Accountancy Age Top 50 survey of firms, with £15.5m in fee income for y/e April 2013. It joined the PKF network in December 2013, following Littlejohn and Johnston Carmichael’s lead.
