BDO has been appointed auditors to Vimto makers Nichols following a competitive pitch process.
The mid-tier firm was up against a Big Four rival for the audit of the AIM-listed business based in Newton-le-Willows
Tim Croston, group finance director at Nichols, said BDO’s experience with AIM companies, the company’s sector and in dealing with international groups made them the “perfect choice”.
Along with Vimto, Nichols’ brand portfolio includes Levi Roots, Weight Watchers and Sunkist.
Philip Storer, audit partner at BDO in the North West who led the tender, said: “Nichols has great products and history, and is being driven by an impressive management team with a real passion for the business. The future certainly looks bright and we are proud to be working with Nichols, one of the most iconic brands in the North West.”
