Increased stress causes FDs to quit

Number of FTSE100 FDs who quit trebled last year

Three times more FTSE100 FDs changed their jobs last year than the average, a
new survey showed.

The study revealed that increasing job pressure caused 17 FDs to change their
jobs, compared with the average annual rate of five, the Financial Times
reports.

The average tenure of CFOs has also fallen to between three and five years
the report by consultants Mercer and executive search firm Russell Reynolds
Associates found.

Jeremy Rickman, a partner at Russell Reynolds, said: ‘Most were the result of
resignations which is easily double what we would expect normally.’
