GORDON STEIN is to step down as chief financial officer of Cadogan Petroleum after less than a year with the oil company.

According to Cadogan, his departure is due to personal reasons associated with the company’s increased focus and workload in Ukraine.

Chief executive Bertrand des Pallieres, will assume responsibility for financial issues at board level. Financial matters in Ukraine will be managed by the group director of finance.
