John Lewis FD to deliver keynote at Financial Director Summit 2013

Financial Director is delighted to announce that Rachel Osborne, finance director of John Lewis, will be delivering a keynote address at this year’s annual conference.

Osborne, who joined John Lewis – Britain’s biggest department store group in 2011 – in 2011, will open the FD Summit 2013 with a keynote speech on the CFO’s role in building a company vision despite facing significant economic headwinds.

While household name retailers were going to the wall, John Lewis reported strong results over the Christmas period and is credited for successfully combining online sales with a traditional bricks and mortar operation.

Apart from her time at John Lewis, Osborne has an impressive career history, including stints as the UK & Ireland CFO of Sodexo; director of strategy at B&Q, director of business performance at Kingfisher and FD Europe at PepsiCo UK.
