JOHNSON MATTHEY has appointed Den Jones as chief financial officer, the FTSE 100 specialty chemicals company said.
Jones, who recently served as interim chief financial officer for oil and gas company BG Group, will join the board of Johnson Matthey in June, succeeding Robert MacLeod who is stepping up to chief executive.
From September 2012 Jones was acting CFO for BG Group and from February 2013 until November 2013 was appointed to the board as interim CFO and executive director. Prior to joining BG Group, he spent more than a decade with Citibank and PwC where he held a number of specialist financial management positions.
Commenting on Jones’ appointment, Robert MacLeod said: “His experience of working in a large diverse global company within an engineering and operations environment complements Johnson Matthey’s business well and will enable him to make an immediate contribution.”
