Ex-Deloitte manager take CFO role at Air Partner

Former All Leisure group FD and ex-Deloitte manager Neil Morris takes interim CFO role at aviation business

FORMER DELOITTE audit manager Neil Morris will take the chief financial officer role at aviation service business Air Partner on an interim basis.

Morris joined the company as an interim group financial controller in July 2013, according to his LinkedIn profile.

He was previously group finance director of AIM-listed niche cruise and tour operator All Leisure Group, where he spent more than two years. Prior to that role, Morris spent more than 11 years at Deloitte, primarily in its aviation and travel sector. At the time of his departure in February 2011, he was senior manager in the audit practice of the Gatwick office, a position he held since January 2006.

He started out his career as an accountant at Griffith Clarke, working mainly with sole traders and small companies.

The company has said it is currently working with specialist recruiters Odgers Berndtson to find a permanent CFO. It also said that a new group financial controller would be announced in “due course”.

Morris succeeds Gavin Charles, who announced in December, that after nearly four years at the company, he was stepping down to “further his career elsewhere”.

According to a pre-close statement at the end of January Air Partner was debt free and had a strong net cash position. At the time of publication the company had a market cap of £54.69m but had seen its share price drop 6.51% in the last month.
