CARILLION group FD Richard Adam will chair the audit committee of Wincanton.
Adam, who has served at the support services business since 2007, will join Wincanton from 1 June, and also serve on its remuneration and nomination committees. Wincanton is a FTSE-listed supply chain logistics company with more than a billion pounds in revenues.
He qualified as a chartered accountant with KPMG in 1982, and prior to Carillion served as group FD of Associated British Ports. He has also held other non-exec roles in the past, including SSL International and Zattikka.
Steve Marshall, chairman of Wincanton said: “I am delighted that Richard will be joining the board. Richard is an experienced group finance director and audit committee chair. He also has hands on experience of the competitive business services and contracting environment of the type in which Wincanton.”
