MIKE POWELL is to head up finance at aviation support services provider BBA Aviation.
Powell joins on 1 July, succeeding Mark Hoad, having served as CFO at FTSE 250 business AZ Electronic Materials where he was CFO.
He is an experienced finance chief having also served as group FD of Nippon Sheet Glass, and 15 years in senior finance roles at Pilkington.
Simon Pryce, BBA Aviation chief executive said Powell has an “excellent track record” as a group FD, and across an international base.
Powell said: “I am very excited to be joining BBA Aviation, a company with a strong track record and a clear strategy to deliver on the many growth opportunities ahead of it. I look forward to playing a key role in the Company’s continued operational and strategic progress.”
BBA Aviation provides specialist on-airport support services, including refuelling and ground handling, to the owners and operators of private, business, military and commercial aircraft. BBA Aviation’s Aftermarket Services businesses are focused on the repair and overhaul of gas turbine engines and the service of aerospace components, sub-systems and systems.
