A NEW CFO has been named for the Press Association’s parent company PA Group.
Ed Ethelston will join in August, taking over from Steven Brown who retires after 19 years with the company.
Ethelston has spent the last 12 years at Red Bee Media, most recently as director of finance. He began his career with PWC before joining Bain & Co. He will lead PA’s finance, HR and property function based at its London HQ and will be responsible for a range of finance and strategic matters, including managing external relationships.
The group’s key strategy is to develop and launch a new range of services that will enable the business to capitalise on the demand for multimedia content.
Clive Marshall, chief executive of PA Group, said: “As a member of the company’s executive team Ed will play a major role in ensuring that we continue to diversify the market for our news and information services, whilst at the same time fully capitalising on the enormous increase in demand for content, particularly from digital media.
