Fenner division director handed group FD role

FENNER has appointed executive director John Pratt as group financial director, following current FD Richard Perry retirement.

Perry will leave the company in January 2015. Pratt, who is currently executive director of the group’s engineered conveyor solutions (ECS) division, will take over the role following Perry’s departure.

Pratt joined the FTSE 250 company, which develops reinforced polymer products such as industrial hoses and conveyor belts, in 1991 and was previously group finance controller from 1996 to 2002. He sits on the group’s executive committee as part of his current role.

Fenner chairman Mark Abrahams thanked Perry for his work as FD since taking the role in 1994.

He added: “John Pratt brings to the role very strong business skills and experience, considerable knowledge of the group’s operations and markets across the world and continuity in the leadership of the group’s finance function. These will be of great benefit to the group as it embarks on its next phase of development.”
