Wright builds career at architects Aukett Swanke

ARCHITECT firm Aukett Swanke has recruited Beverley Wright as group finance director.

Wright, an experienced finance executive within the construction and engineering sectors, joins from CH2M HILL, where she served as international commercial director.

She replaces Duncan Harper, who has served as group FD for six and a half years. He will remain with the group until mid-October to help hand over to Wright.

Nicholas Thompson, chief executive, said: “We are delighted to welcome Beverley to the board. She brings a wealth of commercial experience to Aukett Swanke along with significant financial expertise both in the UK and internationally. Beverley will be a valuable addition to the executive team as we pursue our growth objectives. “

Aukett Swanke posted an interim pre-tax profit of £750,000 for the six months to 31 March 2014, compared to a small loss for the period a year earlier. It also reported revenue contributions of £2.19m (over three months) from its recent acquisition of Swanke Hayden Connell.

Its share price was unchanged this morning, at 7.63p, at valuing the company at £12.6m.
