FD to step down and focus on his accounting practice

Shane Moloney to step down from the expanding role of EME FD, and focus on his role at Shipleys

A PRACTITIONER is to step down from his part-time role as a finance director to focus his efforts on his firm.

Shane Moloney, a principal at Top 50 firm Shipleys, has also served as FD of Equatorial Mining and Exploration (EME) for more than three years.

In a statement to ISDX (formerly PLUS Market), the mining company said that Moloney wants to commit more time to his professional work – particularly as the EME finance role is set to expand.

“Shane has been with us from the very beginning as a founder member of EME and has helped steer us along a journey lasting more than three challenging years towards what we believe is the breakthrough point,” said chairman Nicholas Nelson.

“In considering a replacement finance director, the board will consider candidates with past experience in African natural resources related companies.”

Last year Shipleys debuted in the top 20 list of auditors with the most stock market clients.
