MCDONALD’S has promoted UK chief financial officer Paul Pomroy to managing director for the region with immediate effect.
Pomroy, who joined the fast-food giant in 1996 as a real-estate analyst within its corporate finance department, replaces Mark Hawthorne who has left the business for family reasons. He will report to Jill McDonald, McDonald’s UK chief executive officer.
He was promoted to the UK executive team as vice president finance in 2008 and to senior vice president, CFO, in November 2012. His remit in his previous role also included the additional responsibility for McDonald’s supply chain in the UK.
John Park, currently finance director, has been promoted to vice president finance. In addition to his finance role, he will take over responsibility for UK supply chain and become financial controller for the north west division.
