Bretherton joins AIM-listed technology and life sciences-focused investor as a non-executive director

INVESTMENT BUSINESS Adams has appointed experienced finance director Michael Bretherton to its board.

Bretherton joins the AIM-listed technology and life sciences-focused investor as a non-executive director, and has experience of early stage and technology investment markets.

From 2006 to 2014, he was FD of Channel Islands’ based ORA Capital Partners Limited, an investment company with active interests in early stage growth companies. In August 2014 he became chairman of AIM listed Sarossa which invests in technology companies. He is a chartered accountant having trained at Price Waterhouse and acted as finance director in a number of public and private businesses.

Nicholas Nelson, chairman, Adams, commented: “With his extensive past and current experience in small company investment, Mike is a natural addition to the board. He will be of great assistance as we move forward with our investment policy.”

In March 2013, Adams emerged following the restructuring and change of name from Carpathian, formerly an AIM-quoted property investment company. Fresh funding was sourced to enable Adams to continue as an AIM company with a view to making investments in the technology and life sciences sectors.
