WELLINGTON BOOT and outdoor clothing store Hunter Boot has appointed GAME Digital CFO Benedict Smith, effective from 27 July.
He has been CFO at GAME since 2013, and previously spent six years between 2006 and 2012 as group CFO of Harrods. The video games retailer announced his depature in May.
He was CFO of Spirit Group from 2003 until2006 and also worked previously in the Operating Group at the private equity firm, TPG Capital.
James Seuss, CEO of Hunter, said: “Benedict’s appointment comes at a key time for Hunter, as we move into our next phase of growth. His experience will serve us well, including his time at Harrods, as we continue to realise our ambition for the brand and grow both our retail and wholesale businesses, on a global level.”
