THE former chief financial officer of the Co-operative Group has joined the board of online gambling company Playtech.
Paul Hewitt, deputy group chief executive and CFO of the Co-operative Group from 2003 to 2007, will be chairman of Playtech’s risk & compliance and remuneration committees and sit on the audit and nominations committees, the FTSE 250 gambling software company said.
Having qualified as an accountant with Arthur Andersen, Hewitt also served as finance and IT director of the RAC from 1999 to 2003.
He was a non-executive director at Tesco Bank and was chairman of its audit committee from 2012 to 2014.
