EXPERIENCED City operator and former finance director Gerald Corbett has been named as chairman-designate and industrial property investor Segro.
Corbett, a serial non-executive who spent periods as FD of Redland and Grand Metropolitan, will join Segro’s board on 1 March 2016 and will succeed Nigel Rich as chairman after the AGM on 22 April 2016.
Over his career, Corbett has been a director of 12 public companies, six of which he has chaired.
He was chief executive of Railtrack and is currently chairman of Betfair, Britvic and Numis Corporation. Previously, he was Chairman of SSL International and has served as a non-executive director of MEPC, Greencore Group and Burmah Castrol.
