AIM-LISTED Elektron Technology has confirmed its CFO Andy Weatherstone is to stay on at the engineering firm.
In September, Weatherstone informed the company that he wished to step down from the board with the aim of resuming his turnaround consultancy. It was expected that he would leave the group in March.
In a statement to market, Elektron said that following “detailed discussions it has been possible to “accommodate Andy’s desire to work on other projects whilst devoting the vast majority of his time to Elektron as CFO”.
Chairman of Elektron Keith Daley said: “I am obviously delighted that Andy has agreed to stay with us. He has had a vital part to play in the progress the business has made since he joined two years ago and complements a strong management team enabling us to exploit fully the significant opportunities available to us.”
