EXTRAORDINARY ITEMS – Cut red tape – ditch a shareholder.

In the DTI’s 200-page company law review consultation document, one anomaly has been overlooked. The current legislation currently requires every company to have two shareholders, but only one director. Maybe it would help eliminate red tape and promote corporate governance if those requirements were reversed. And, of course, we would recommend that one of the two is a finance director.
