The American Embassy in London’s minister counsellor for commercial affairs, Charles A Ford, said at a conference on the euro that the US wanted to help the EU create a growing economy and to make US small and medium-sized companies aware of how they can benefit. “Europe creates a market the size of Taiwan for every 2% of growth,” he said.
