KPMG Germany’s finance team decided that they needed to go through a drastic digitisation project in 2016. And to do this they needed a platform which would enable them to overcome the many challenges that come with such an ambitious project.

Upon embarking on their digitisation journey KPMG knew that one of their greatest challenges would be ensuring they had a seamless planning process. KPMG identified the currently arduous task that employees had to go through to plan effectively as one of the first things that need to be improved. Realising this KPMG identified the key areas that need to be improved in the planning process:

  • High procedural costs
  • Lengthy approval processes
  • Top-down or bottom-up planning
  • Obsolete technological islands
  • Individual calculations
