Close encounter Bobbit-style
You would have thought it was safe enough for insurance companies covering people against being abducted by aliens. After all, even if it happened, how could any surviving policyholders prove it?
Yet here is Goodfellow Rebecca Ingrams Pearson (GRIP) stung for #24m following the mass suicide of the Heaven’s Gate cult in California. The firm is now pulling out of this sector of the insurance market, which has seen all manner of risks covered including men having their penises cut off Bobbitt-style.
Still, if you take money off people who are worried about being carried off by aliens, you probably deserve the financial equivalent of Bobbitt’s fate.
