A DAVID RUBIN & PARTNERS liquidator is called to online home furniture retailer Home Living Online.
Asher Miller, (pictured) partner at David Rubin & Partners, was appointed liquidator of the company which ceased trading earlier this month.
“It is very sad that Home Living Online has not managed to survive in the current economic climate after a promising start as a business, but we are working hard to recover the value of the remaining stock in order to maximise the dividends payable to creditors,” he said.
The business was set up in 2007 working entirely over the internet. It later expanded to include two retail premises, based in Poole and Southampton. However the outlets were unprofitable and the company returned to an online only business. By this point the company had suffered severe cash flow problems.
All nine employees were made redundant on appointment and the liquidator is trying to establish ownership of the stock in the warehouse.
A statement from David Rubin & Partners said it is uncertain how much dividends will be paid to creditors, at this stage.
