A KPMG DIRECTOR who advised Irish engineering group Mincon on its IPO has joined the business as FD.

Brian Lenihan, who qualified as a chartered accountant with the firm in 2004, worked on Mincon’s IPO and admission to AIM last year.

He has worked extensively in audit and capital market services to large Irish companies in the energy, manufacturing and pharmaceutical sectors. He also spent three years in KPMG’s Boston office.

Interim CFO since September 2013, John Doris, will hand over to Lenihan.

Kevin Barry, Mincon chief executive, said: “I am very pleased to welcome Brian to the Mincon Group. His appointment fulfils one of the stated objectives of the Board at the time of the company’s flotation and I believe his experience in KPMG, together with his in-depth knowledge of the business, means that he will be a valuable addition to the team at Mincon as it seeks to implement its growth and acquisition strategy.
