Property and urban regeneration firm Sigma Capital Group has appointed Malcolm Briselden as finance director following the retirement of Marilyn Cole.

Briselden, a 47-year-old chartered management accountant, joined the company as group financial controller in 2012 after spending nine years at Premier Property.

Graham Barnet, CEO of Sigma, said: “Malcolm is a highly experienced finance professional with a thorough knowledge of our business who has played a key role in developing governance and control procedures for our new ventures and the Board now looks forward to working more closely with him.

“I would also like to thank Marilyn for her work throughout her tenure as finance director. She joined Sigma when the business was still a private company and she has made an invaluable contribution to the growth and development of the business.”

Much of Sigma’s regeneration work is conducted in partnership with local authorities in Liverpool, Salford and Solihull.
