A NEW FD has joined the revitalised board of a civil engineering business.
Rob James (pictured) has taken the chief finance role at Jones Bros Civil Engineering, as part of a major reshuffle of key board roles.
James will work alongside new managing director John Dielhof, as Jones Bros has set out a series of growth and investment projects. Owner and former MD, Huw Jones, moves into the chairman role at the £70m turnover engineer.
He is set to play an integral role in helping the business focus on apprenticeships and training, recruitment, investment in plant fleet, securing new contracts and developing its support infrastructure.
Jones Bros recently took a role as ‘early contractor involvement’ contractor for the £65m Caernarfon by-pass, in a 50/50 joint venture with Balfour Beatty, where they have also been awarded a contract to extend the Clyde wind farm in Scotland for SSE.
James said: “Jones Bros is in great health and it is a very exciting time to be taking on the role of finance director. I’m fortunate to be a member of a great team who share a long-term commitment to the business.”
