Former Invensys CFO made chairman at lighting company Dialight

LED LIGHTING business Dialight has confirmed the appointment of former Invensys CFO Wayne Edmunds as chairman, effective immediately.

Edmunds was appointed chief executive of Invensys in 2011, having previously served as the engineering firm’s CFO from 2009. He joined Invensys from Reuters America, where he was senior vice president of finance, having held senior financial roles in the technology sector including 17 years with Lucent Technologies.

He replaces Bill Ronald, who gave notice on 27 July 2015 of his intention to stand down as chairman and director of the group.

Senior independent director and chairman of the nomination committee Stephen Bird said: “We are delighted to welcome Wayne to the board of Dialight. Wayne brings relevant commercial and boardroom experience working with global companies in the technology sector. He will be a valuable asset as we pursue our strategy to return to sustainable, profitable growth.
