DIANE GRAY-SMITH has been appointed as CFO of rapidly growing money platform Uphold.
Gray-Smith will be responsible for oversight and management of the company’s global corporate financial reporting and governance. She will also oversee financial reporting, policy and system infrastructure globally.
For the last 20 years, Gray-Smith has worked with numerous boards and management teams in the financial services, fintech and media spheres and helped them through transition and growth, from startup to acquisition, fundraising, integration, restructure and IPO.

Gray-Smith joins Uphold having served as CFO for fintech start-up Byhiras. She also spent 12 years working as global CFO for a VC firm and in private equity specialising in emerging markets, and advising on the mid cap markets in Europe.
